GET TO KNOW ME

Hi, I’m Laura
I’m a licensed psychotherapist whose goal is to make mental health support as versatile and enjoyable as possible. I’m on a mission to build a framework for sustainable wellbeing — for myself and for others. This space is my growing archive of research, reflections, and resources.
Why I Became a Therapist
I didn’t come from a background that prioritized mental or emotional health, and I wouldn’t say I was the most vulnerable person growing up. But at a certain point in my life, I came to understand and cherish the value of human connection and the power of having a safe space to be seen and heard.
I was originally drawn to the field by an interest in pathology and a desire to work with people navigating more severe mental health challenges. However, during my time in graduate school, I began to understand the depth and impact of emotional attunement. That’s when I discovered the transformative power of talk therapy — and it reshaped the way I wanted to show up for others. Being a therapist grew on me in ways I hadn’t anticipated, and it continues to surprise me in the best ways possible.
Beyond Therapy
Outside of work, I’d say I’m a mix of introverted and outgoing — I like my quiet routines, but I also love connecting with others. I’m someone who enjoys structure, the kind that makes life feel steady yet exciting. My days usually include staying active, connecting with loved ones, cooking (and eating!), and winding down with a good TV show. I’d love to say I’m an avid reader, but that’s more of a story I tell myself than a habit I actually practice.
A random fact about me: I thoroughly enjoy grocery shopping. Can’t explain why — I just do.
Finally, I’m bilingual and have lived in four countries so far, which has shaped how I view people, identity, and belonging.
My Hope for This Page
I created this website with the vision of an evolving space to bring together my reflections on meaningful wellbeing topics that come up in my practice or personal life. I also wanted to share helpful resources I’ve come across and, hopefully, make myself and my work more accessible to the world.
My hope is that this site can grow into a space where anyone feels supported, empowered, and maybe even inspired to pursue a deeper understanding of wellbeing and mental health.
